"Uncle Jack" McKay
mornings 6am - 10am
A Wisconsin native and life-long Packer fan, "UNCLE JACK"
McKAY began his radio career during his college days in his
hometown. After the early years working part time he moved on
to the Green Bay/Appleton market and his travels took him
to ply his trade as an engineer, disc jockey and operations
manager in areas like Minneapolis, Wichita and the Quad
Cities before finally moving to North Dakota in 1983.
Jack and his family fell in love with Minot and worked there
until 1994 when he relocated to Bismarck and his love affair
with the friendly people of our state continues to grow to this
After working for a number of different companies here
playing classic rock, and during a 3 year layoff from his
on-air time, he found himself working as a radio engineer.
But good fortune found him once again when he returned
to the airwaves in 2014 as the morning host on Mojo 107.5.
During his years in Bismarck/Mandan he has worked with
the finest broadcasters he's ever known. Names like Bob
Denver, Lauren Gray, BMan, Sid Hardt, Genia Kelly and
others were all here when he first came to town, and he was
even doing the morning show with Bob Denver his very first
days in Bismarck-Mandan over 20 years ago. So, you might
say, theye've been together a long time. Jack is the self
described "luckiest man alive" and hopes to be with these old
friends and having fun for many years to come.
